Subscribe to SmugMug

  • Updated

Start your SmugMug journey with a 14-day free trial to explore almost all of our features—upload, share, and organize your photos. When you’re ready, subscribing is quick and easy, whether you choose to subscribe through the SmugMug website or the SmugMug iOS app.

Subscribe on the SmugMug website.

  1. Log in to your SmugMug account. During your 14-day trial, you’ll see a green Subscribe button at the top of your SmugMug homepage.
  2. Click the Subscribe button. You’ll also see a countdown showing how many days are left in your free trial. Clicking Subscribe will take you to the subscription page. Choose the plan that suits you best.
  3. Complete the payment process. Choose to pay monthly or annually, then enter your payment information.
  4. Subscriptions are charged immediately, in USD, to the payment method that you provide during the subscription process.

Tip: If your 14-day trial is about to expire, you can extend your trial for a few extra days. Just log in to your account and click the extend your trial link where the trial countdown was displayed.

Subscribe through the SmugMug iOS app.

  1. Download the SmugMug iOS app from the Apple App Store. If you haven’t signed up for the free trial yet, click Start your 14-day free trial to create your account.
  2. Select the plan that suits your needs. Follow the on-screen prompts to select your plan and payment frequency, then click the green Subscribe button.
  3. Sign in to your Apple account. Complete your purchase using your Apple ID. Note that all subscription payments made through the app will be managed by Apple, not by SmugMug.

Important: Any payment or subscription issues must be handled through Apple’s iTunes support. If you subscribe through the SmugMug iOS app, you’ll need to manage your payment preferences directly in your Apple/iTunes account. At this time you can’t switch from in-app purchase (iOS) to direct web purchase with SmugMug for your payment. Setting up the account via Apple and iTunes also makes the account ineligible for referral credits as these can't be applied to these types of accounts.

Note: Some prepaid credit cards (e.g., Visa gift cards) may not work as recurring charges are blocked.

Update your credit card info any time by going to the Site tab of your Site Settings, under Subscription. If you previously subscribed using Amazon Payments, you'll need to manage your billing details through Amazon's site.

SmugMug keeps the personal information and photos of thousands of customers safe. On any page where you’re asked to enter billing information, you'll see the URL begins with "https://." That "s" tells you that you're entering your info into a secure form.

The badge below may set your mind further at ease. SmugMug, Inc., holds a website identity assurance warranty of $250,000. This means you’re insured for up to $250,000 when relying on the information provided by IdAuthority on this site.
